Terms of Reference
“Decisional Mandates” refer to the capacity of Senate which can be exercised on the basis of the recommendations of the committee, not to the powers of the committee itself.
An occasional committee appointed by and from Senate.
Decisional Mandates:
- in collaboration with the Registrar, oversee the election of members to Senate and, where relevant, its standing committees;
- oversee the annual election of the Vice-Chair of Senate;
- make recommendations to Senate on policy governing its elections and appointments.
Other:
- actively seek and promote nominations for Senate and for the relevant standing committees;
- make recommendations to Senate on the appointment of its members to standing committees;
- make recommendations on other matters as assigned by Senate.
