Educational counselling is available to people interested in upgrading, post-secondary, or training programs. We provide initial orientation and on-going support services to students and people who are thinking of becoming students.

Need a Prerequisite or Upgrading?
Your first step is to attend an Adult Basic Education (ABE) Information Session.
Information sessions are held weekly. Please call ABE, 250-740-6425, or Student Services, 250-740-6416, to find out when the next session is offered.
We provide support for the length of time that you are enrolled at Vancouver Island University. We may refer you to other services available at VIU, such as:
