Declaring Majors and Minors
Normally students declare their major or minors after completing 24 credits. Declaring your majors and minors as soon as possible allows you to access reserved courses when registering for courses related to your minors or majors. Remember, that once you have declared, you can still change your mind. Go to your degree advisor to declare your Major or Minors.
Usually students will declare two minors or a major, or a major and a minor. This depends on what program you are in, and what interests you. (You are only required to have one Major or 2 Minors).
Visit your degree advisors for help in choosing your courses, for a record of degree completion and assistance in using GPS or the Automated Goal Planning system found in your student record.
Undecided Students who are still exploring their options should meet with an Educational Counselor in the Advising Centre.
