Student Work Opp positions

The CareerVIU offers a section on their web site to look up student work-op positions. Theses positions usually equal up to 150 hours of work time over the course of the two semesters.

Students must be full-time VIU Student (minimum 9 credits or equivalent in applied programs or CAP; 6 credits or equivalent for students with a documented disability) for each semester of work.

Work op positions are excellent ways for students to gain practical career related experience. They are generally posted before the beginning of the fall semester, as well as throughout the year as positions need filling. Work Op positions may also be available in the summer semester based on taking one or two courses (depending on the position).
