Print Process Flow Chart

The Print Shop or Communications & Public Relations should be consulted at the beginning of a project when you are in the planning, scheduling and budgeting stage. A short consultation will save you lots of time and money too!

The following flow chart below indicates the recommended process for publishing, printing and copying.

Appropriate Use of VIU Logo

Appropriate use of the VIU logo includes the following:

  • do not isolate, remove or modify any portion of the logo
  • do not distort or skew the logo
  • do not substitute or change the font used in the logo
  • full-colour version: do not modify colours
  • single-colour version: may be used as reverse
  • single-colour logo may be a single colour only
  • department names or campus address may be positioned underneath or to the right of the logo
  • logo is to be used on all external promotional/marketing materials and advertising

The Vancouver Island University text mark also follows the above guidelines, but is only available as a single-colour and may be used as any single colour to match the publication design. The text mark may also be a screen value (i.e., 60% black) in order not to overpower the title of the publication.

You can download logos, in various file formats.

Contact Communications & Public Relations if you have any questions about the logo and its appropriate use.
