The Malaspina Commons is located on the 3rd floor of Bldg. 305 (the main floor of the Library). See the Malaspina Commons hours for open times.
The Commons features 54 Productivity stations, 3 Media stations (near the Reference Desk), and 9 Internet Access stations (near the Jumpin' Java coffee shop.) 3 Video Editing suites and an Audio Editing suite may be booked at the Library Service desk for use by VIU Students and employees.
Within the Library gates, on the main floor, are 10 Internet Access stations and 8 Scanning stations. There are 2 more Internet Access stations in the Library Stacks (4th floor) and 33 Productivity stations in the Library Instruction Room 508 (5th floor), which is open for student use when there are no classes booked (check the schedule at the Reference Desk or on the LIR 508 door.) You will find our Microform Scanning station near the Microform collection on the main floor of the Library.
Use our Disk Repair Station to recover lost or damaged files from floppy disks, CDs, DVDs, USB drives, or memory cards.
