A service available to VIU Faculty and staff, MELL provides access to a variety of Microsoft Office online courses and that allow you to keep track of your learning using your My Learning Web space. Click the My Learning Catalog to launch a course. You have 12 months to complete your course and can return to a course in-progress by logging into My Learning.

Office 2010 Security (Protected View)
Office 2010 includes a security feature called Protected View. Microsoft has specifically developed this technology to supplement antivirus in protecting Microsoft Office users from malicious Office documents. At this time Microsoft Office 2010 is configured to trust documents that come from internal sources such as shares and to not trust external documents from the internet or e-mails. This is Microsoft’s recommended best practice.
For this reason IT recommends that Protected VIew remains enabled on all VIU computers.
