Scanning
There are 8 Scanning stations with Epson Perfection 2480 flatbed scanners near the photocopiers in the Library. Flatbed scanners are also available on the Media stations in the Malaspina Commons (11 scanners in total). The image scanning software includes common image editing features such as rotate, resize and crop, and the Media stations are equipped with sophisticated image editing programs. If you are scanning text documents to convert them to editable text files, you can use Microsoft Word to work with the scanned files. You can also scan slides and negative film with the flatbed scanners. You will need a Discovery account to use the scanner stations.
Media Station #1 also has a Nikon Super CoolScan 4000 slide and film scanner, and there is a Microform Scanning station in the Library, near the microform collection.
