5. Tamagawa Gardens
An oasis of tranquility at the centre of a busy campus, peaceful Tamagawa Garden is comprised of flowering trees, shrubs and lawn. It has an arched bridge over a fishpond, home to colourful Koi fish. The surrounding evergreens block out the rest of the world. The garden was designed by Japanese garden specialist Roy Tanaka and was a gift to VIU from Tamagawa University of Tokyo, Japan.
