Give

This is a fundraising campaign. Giving is the most important thing you can do to support the United Way and the work of the Community Partners. Visit the Be A Hero page and you'll realize there are a lot of options for giving what you can afford. Even a dollar-a-pay goes a long way!

Volunteer

As part of the VIU campaign, employees can get involved by being a contact in their department for the Loaned Representative. Putting up United Way posters in your department, making information available to co-workers about how they can donate, inviting the Loaned Representative and a Community Partner to speak at a department meeting, these are all important contributions to the campaign. A lot of hands doing a little bit of work will go a long way, and can make a huge difference to the number of dollars raised at VIU. If you can committ to an hour or a day, every bit of involvement is valuable.

Act

Fundraising events are FUN and if you have the time to take action, then hosting a bake sale, holding a Halloween Costume competition, organizing a raffle or 50/50 draw, are all great ways to get the VIU community involved in the campus campaign. Whether you're interested in planning an event for your department or for the entire campus, every event is an opportunity to raise dollars for the United Way.
