To determine the focus of funding, United Way Central & Northern Vancouver Island held a community consultation in Central Island area. These results determined our three impact areas: Healthy Children & Families, Engaged Youth and Supported Seniors.

Cowichan United Way improves the quality of life for our community by fundraising for other non-profit charities, providing guidance and counseling to charitable organizations, and taking a leadership role in raising awareness of community needs. Thanks to the help of our community partners, we achieve this every year.

When you support United Way you help make Powell River a great place for everyone.

We work with local agencies, supporting them to support the needs of specific areas of our community. This is the network of care.

By maintaining a network of care, United Way addresses immediate needs and finds long-term solutions to pressing social issues. We stretch the funds across the community.

Every year since 1976, United Way helps people in the Powell River area lead healthier lives, become self-sufficient, and gives our children and youth opportunities for a brighter tomorrow.
