What do you know about the United Way and how it impacts our local community?
Prior to taking on the roll as the Loaned Rep this year, my understanding of the United Way was grossly incorrect. I then started thinking how many others might have the same misunderstanding. To help possibly correct any misconceptions, I would love the opportunity to have 5-10 minutes (I know I can talk lots, but I promise and you can time me) to talk at a staff meeting share what I know about the United Way and it's roll in our community. Guest speakers from a community partner can be brought in to share the value and good work of their agency (I'll even bake muffins for morning meetings - unless the groups are too big).
How about hosting a fundraising event? I'll come help organize and be there for support!
