Mission Statement

The Vancouver Island University Writing Centre is dedicated to these goals:

1. Creating a nurturing, respectful environment for students by providing tutors who engage them in dialogue and who encourage their successful development as writers.
2. Promoting interdisciplinary discussion of writing as a process of learning.
3. Celebrating the joy of reading and writing within the academic community and sharing this vision in the region.
