For Domestic (Canadian) students
1 The Admissions Decision.
VIU sends official notification regarding admission decisions by mail. If you are offered admission, a tuition deposit will be required to confirm your acceptance. The amount of the deposit and the deadline for payment will be noted in your offer letter, and it will be applied to your first semester's tuition fees.
If we are not able to offer you admission to your chosen program, we can help you upgrade your qualifications or explore other opportunities.

2 Select your courses.
The program you have chosen may require you to take a very specific set of courses, or it may have many options allowing you to choose from a wide variety of possibilities.

3 Build your timetable and register for courses.
You will be assigned a specific date and time in May to register for your courses. VIU will send you full details regarding how and when to register, and our online registration system will help you build your personalized timetable using the courses you need for your program.
Some programs do not require you to register for individual classes, and you will be sent your timetable well in advance.
