International Education

Congratulations on your acceptance to this highly respected, quality English Language program. The VIU campus is located on beautiful central Vancouver Island in Nanaimo - a small, safe city that truly enjoys hosting International students. The local and academic communities provide students with many opportunities to improve their English skills, as well as understand and participate in Canadian culture. VIU English Language Centre, offers students a unique University campus experience, with dedicated University instructors, and award winning student support services.

We are fully accredited and offer flexible programs to develop communication skills (7 or 14 weeks) and academic preparation skills (14 weeks). Choose VIU's Language and Culture Program for short-term English studies (3 or 4 weeks). The English Language Centre staff and faculty look forward to working with you and helping you achieve your goals.
