The awarding of honorary credentials is intended to encourage a standard of excellence, innovation, accomplishments, and service which is exemplary to students, faculty and staff, and to society generally. The Awards & Honours Committee of Senate nominates candidates for honorary credentials to the President and Senate and/or Board, as follows:

Nominations for Academic Emeritus Designation are processed through the Office of the Provost and Vice-President Academic.
