VIU Students' Union
This building houses the Students’ Union, the Navigator student press, and the Students’ Union Pub. You can buy quality used textbooks that are put on consignment by other students as well as get your ISIC card. Transit guides and discounted bus passes are also available here. The Students’ Union Pub is a reasonably priced establishment with great food, events, free pool, contests, live music, and karaoke.
Mariner Athletics and Recreation
The gym is home to Mariners Athletics and Recreation, which manages VIU’s varsity teams and club sports as well as recreation opportunities for students. There is a weight room upstairs that is free for students and employees to use. Check out the Student Life Activity Guide for all intramural, fitness and outdoor rec programs that happen at VIU.
