Certificate in Individually Selected University Studies
Some students like to create a short, customized pathway to explore their own personal interests and curiosities. A Certificate in Individually Selected University Studies is a tangible goal to recognize this accomplishment.
A Certificate in Individually Selected University Studies requires 12-59 semester credits in any University courses, 100-level or higher, selected in consultation with an Educational Advisor or department chair. Please note that courses with a "T" suffix are eligible for this certificate. In any cases where the learning plan developed requires more than 30 credits, at least 3 of the credits must be chosen from those courses which can be applied towards the VIU Degree English Requirement.
Students interested in a Individually Selected Studies are strongly encouraged to discuss their educational goals with an Educational Advisor.
